What I wanted?
I rent a flat in Glasgow and have not outdoor space to store my bikes. For the last year, I simply put them on pieces of carpet but it did not look neat and was taking up a bit too much of my little space. So, I was looking for solution to store my bikes vertically. As I rent, I also wanted something where I don't have to drill a hole into the wall. It should have a small footprint (smaller than both bikes next to each other on the floor). There are some models that have hookes that are not fixed - I figured that will be a pain when hooking in/out the bikes so I wanted them fixed/screwed.
Amazon has quite a few of those racks so it was just checking out which one has a small footpring and looks sturdy. I settled on the "CXWXC 4-Bike Storage Rack with Basket - Indoor Bike Rack for Garage/Apartment - Road Mountain and Hybrid Bike Garage & Home". 113 positive reviews and not so expensive price (88 GBP). Verdict.
Arrived quickly and was easy to set up. So far, it did not crash (knocks on wood) and looks reasonable sturdy. I'm not sure how long the plastic hooks hold or if they fail after some time. They have a nice mechanism for opening and closing which do not require tools. Officially, the rack is for four bikes, I only use it with two which means I have four spare hooks anyway. It definitely looks cleaner and there's no wibblywobbly going on.

Con
- Not stable enough to also use during bike maintenance.
- Plastic hooks - who knows how long they do the job.
- Doesn't work whith toptube bag installed (obvs).
Overall, good product. Does the job. Would have bought one that is stable enough to also function as a repair stand but there's none 🤷. 7/10.
